Energy Star

Energy Star was developed by the UD Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US Department of Energy to reduce energy use and air pollution by labeling energy-efficient, cost saving products used in homes and offices. Energy Star is giving the consumer the information they need to make smart choices on becoming more efficient. One of the strongest reasons for choosing an Energy Star product is the substantial savings. An Energy Star furnace can save you an average of 40%. An Energy Star cooling system can help reduce your cooling costs up to 60%*. Both products make you eligible for a tax credit. Allergy Gold

The Allergy Gold electrostatic air filter is a simple and easy way to improve the air quality of your home. It can easily be installed by one of our service technicians. It requires a cleaning about every 30 to 60 days to maintain its highest level of efficiency. The electrostatic air filters durable aluminum frame resists corrosion while providing a strong frame for the filtration. Welded wire grids on both sides ensures it will stay in place with even the most powerful HVAC systems. The filtration media consists of two layers of polypropylene media, and one layer of anti-microbial foam. This combination makes the Allergy Gold 90% efficient in removing airborne particulates. There are 40 standard sizes available, and your technician can also custom size it to your unit if needed.

A/C Quality is a program generated by Southern California Edison. It is in place to provide the consumer with the knowledge needed to make their home Heating and Cooling systems more efficient. Being an A/C Quality contractor, we are specially trained in helping you improve the comfort of your home as well as the operating efficiency of your A/C system. This is one of the Rebates and offers that Edison offers to help you save money. Also you can earn rebates by installing Energy Star approved systems in your home as well. 

North American Technician Excellence

North American Technician Excellence (NATE,) headquartered in Arlington, VA., was founded in 1997 and is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the only technician certification organization governed, owned, operated, developed and supported by the HVACR industry. NATE tests technicians; others train. NATE's HVAC and HVAC/R testing validates the technician's knowledge and a training program's instruction. The NATE tests are rigorous, multiple-choice, knowledge-based tests that represent what 80% of technicians have an 80% chance of encountering once a year. NATE’s certification tests represent real world working knowledge of HVAC and HVACR systems and candidates can earn installation and/or service certification in one or more specialty areas. NATE certification tests are developed by the NATE technical committee. The NATE technical committee is comprised of industry experts who developed and oversee NATE’s Knowledge Areas of Technician Expertise (KATEs). Each exam is developed based on these knowledge areas of expertise. The technical committee represents a wide variety of perspectives including contractors, educators, manufacturers, and utilities. Members also are diversely spread throughout the country. NATE HVACR Quality Circle Contractors are the elite group of NATE contractors. A NATE Quality Circle Contractor has at least 80 percent of their total technicians NATE-certified with at least one NATE-certified technician in each area of installation and/or service that the contractor performs work in. Rizzo Heating and Air has 100 percent NATE Certified. All technicians have passed the NATE Exam.
